Well, 16K+ Amazon reviews can’t be wrong! This was yet another very successful blind buy for me. Holy smokes this stuff is unbelievable! For the price, you’re really getting more bang for your buck – I mean, a fragrance that smells this good for a mere $7.50 – who does that??? Al-Rehab does that, and I for one, am very happy about it! 😁It’s true their packaging and bottles do not scream “luxury”. The box it comes in is very simple, the text/logo is kinda cheesy, and the bottle, while made of glass, is of a much lighter weight than other brands (compared to Nebras, for instance, that thing is a friggin BRICK), and the juice is rather, um…”technicolor” to say the least. However, all of that hides the surprise inside – the scent is absolutely SCRUMPTIOUS!!! 😍Right out of the gate, the first spray gave me a blast of chocolate, as if someone managed to turn a Hershey bar into a spray. Yes, the alcohol is there too (hey, it’s 80% alcohol, whattaya want), but that dissipates quickly, leaving behind a sweet, chocolatey, vanilla confection with a hint of patchouli. There’s nothing too complex here – no mysterious oud to give it a dark or smoky undercurrent, and even the musk is given a light hand overall. As with many fragrances, the longevity isn’t great. Things start to fade away rather quickly, and while I can still smell chocolate and vanilla many minutes later, it becomes a “skin scent” in fairly short order. But where Choco Musk really shines is in layering! I tested it with By the Fireplace/Ameer al Oudh; Mix:Bar Vanilla Bourbon; Lattafa Nebras, and Cocktail Intense (also very cheap here on Amazon), and it blended very well with each (I plan to try it with other scents as well).I would categorize Choco Musk as a simple, very friendly gourmand (good for those dipping their toes into the gourmand fragrance world) that no doubt could put a smile on the faces of many. This is definitely not a serious scent – you don’t want to wear this to say, a funeral, or even the office – but it’s good for buzzing around town, hitting a movie, shopping with “the girls,” or snuggling at home. And at this price, you really can’t beat it – well done, Al-Rehab! 👍

I think this scent is actually great for the price. Comparable in strength/lasting power to something you would get at B&BW. I am actually at the bottom of my bottle and hoping I’ll be able to get a new one soon… I have enjoyed using it for layering warmth into other perfumes.As soon as you spray it you get the vanilla. It isnt like raw vanilla, its more like french vanilla icecream or freshly cooled sugar cookies. Once its on thats when you get the chocolate (more chocolate milkshake as opposed to pure cocoa). You do get the powder and musk but they’re both VERY light and I feel express themselves as more of a creamy wood when in combination with eachother. Once the perfume settles thats when you’re able to smell the spice, for me it smells like a very light combination of cinnamon and cardamom (so yes you can faintly pick up that lemon’y peppermint essence of cardamom). If you were to walk past someone they’re most likely to smell a sweet, chocolate’y cream with the undertone of spice. It isnt strong, musty, of overwhelming. I think it would last at minimum a couple hours on most people. I think it definitely lasts on clothing.The bottle is a nice size for the price, I think it would be nice if it had a gold decorative lid and a different (more bold) label across the front. I think it would make the bottle match the scent more, and I think it would help differentiate bottles more easily (if you’re a perfume collector). I think the bottle fits nicely on a shelf/tray with other perfumes and its easy to grab. I think this perfume is ideal for layering or wearing casually around the house or to grab coffee. I noticed that there is a Choco Marshmallow and Choco Pistachio in this collection now. I would love to try them, it seems like a very good idea to have it be a collection. It makes sense to me to have other perfumes with different bodies, so then you have the option to layer them all together or with other perfumes to create an insane amount of variety if you dont have a bunch of money to spent on tons of different perfumes but you’re like me and always want a different scent for each day. Having a collection with different bases makes sense and allows variety! I hope I will at some point get to see if the Marshmallow and Pistachio are any good, though they sound nice and right up my alley.I will note that I did get the Love Apple by the same brand and I had a completely different experience (not good). Initially I bought them both thinking that they would both be good individually and together for Fall… However I did not enjoy the Apple Love at all and I dont recommend it if you’re looking for an apple scent to layer for the Fall season. Choco Musk is a great option for Fall though!

I’m on my second bottle and it smells like a very warm, musky vanilla. As people say. Those chocolate notes definitely getting noticeable mention. Everytime I’ve worn this, I’ve been told from my friend ‘I don’t see you, I smell you’ 😂 it looks the exact same as it’s advertised. I would go as far to say it’s stronger than some high end, expensive perfumes. So if you want to get noticed, choco musk won’t disappoint. Also surprisingly long lasting. I use it in the morning at 8am and I can still smell it (but obviously not as much) at 3pm.
