A Good Beginning Tool – even for those of us who are not talented
I have zero skills when it comes to my hair and this particular product is well made and it’s designed to pretty much be fool proof. There is a brief how to that it really is helpful to read – I know we’re all tempted to skip that step. And the videos on the site I found helpful. This heats up quickly and has multiple heat level settings – and the instructions advise which level for which hair type. The curls do hold and if you use the recommended heat protection spray it seems to not burn your hair and will maintain the shine. The color is nice but I get it the design and functionality is more important than appearance of the unit itself. This particular unit is priced competitively and I find it to be worth the price point.

Good quality. I have hair that can be difficult at times to curl/crimp.This works great. Natural looking waves. No clamp crease like others. Easy to use and heats up fast.

Nice crimping iron
I like this hair crimper overall. I got the smaller size, so the waves are a little tighter.Some of the pros are that these waves do last, even on my hair which is pretty fine. It also gives mermaid wavy vibes which I really enjoy. It comes with several different heat settings and lets you know when it has gotten to temperature, which is nice.The biggest con is basically how long it takes. Its not so bad when my hair is shorter, but when my hair is down to my lower back, this feels like it takes forever since you have to keep moving the iron down the length of your hair. It isn’t like a straightener where you are in constant motion.I do like that it has a timer for each wave, so you know when to move the iron down, and that you can set it to different times.Overall I really like the way my hair looks when I use this, but it isn’t the hair toil I reach for all the time, mostly due to how time consuming it is.

best hair tool I’ve ever owned
this crimper is amazing. curling irons dont work on my hair so I had given up in the beach waves look years ago. my grand daughter has this and I love the way her hair looks when she uses it so I decided to try it. I’m so glad I did..its super easy to use, it really crimps your hair and the waves stay in. one thing I’ve had issues with in the past is curling/crimping my hair with layers. this works perfectly on the layers.

Works better than expected!
Happy with my Tymo Rovy Compact crimper/waver! First time using any waver and it worked great! Took about 15 mins to my long hair. Used 360 degree setting and 6 second timer. It was super easy to use and gave my hair a ton of volume! May need to try the full size Rovy waver to see what the looser waves look like. Super happy with this purchase!

I never write reviews but this TYMO waver is worth submitting one. It has been a long time since I was this happily satisfied with a product. For reference this picture shows the cheaper version I have replaced over and over for years. First use with the TYMO I couldn’t be more pleased. I have been hesitant to spend even the extra little bit of money to buy a better product bc I am always dissapointed and end up returning. After reading dozens of other reviews I decided to take the risk and so glad I did. The price of the TYMO is very reasonable and well worth the try. To start there was no weird chemical smell you get when first use of these hair tools. It heated up so quickly. Less than a minute or so. I have been used to waiting like 5 to 10 min to get to the temperature I needed on my old waver. The timer and temperature control on this is just a added bonus. What used to take me over 20 minutes took less than 5 to do my whole head and I have thick hair. Furthermore, the waves created looked so much more natural and my hair felt less fried. I have finally found what I have been in search of forever. This waver is a game changer and must buy. High hopes that this will outlast my previous wavers. Almost wanting to buy another one just to ensure I can get this same product again if ever needed. Nothing like finding something great and then it being discontinued. One more note… I chose the compact version bc I have arthritis in my thumbs and wrist. This was light and quick enough that it didnt tire out my hands.

Works great, easy to use but design is top heavy
Saw this on TikTok, and was skeptical of it but it really does work well. I have thick hair but on lowest setting it was great, easy to use.Reviewers on TikTok say it has a burning smell or left a weird smell on their hair. To remedy that I did what a creator recommended: heating the tool to highest setting and let it burn off the smell from manufacturing before using.Negatives: design is top heavy in comparison to the handle, I wish it was more balanced, cuz it did get exhausting to hold after some time. I had trouble with the grip, my hand/finger would get pinched by where the two parts meet when I unpress.

I’m super impressed with this beach wave curler! It arrived safely, well-packaged with zero damage. I went with the 1.25 inch option, which is pretty big—great for longer hair like mine, but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it for shorter styles just because of how wide the barrel is.What blew me away is how wicked fast it heats up—seriously, it hits full temperature in under 2 minutes, which is the fastest I’ve ever seen with any curler. It’s really easy to turn on and operate, though the technique takes a little getting used to. With a bit of practice, though, the results are amazing.Now I’m really curious to try the 1 inch version—seems like it would be perfect for travel, and maybe even a better fit for shorter hair. Overall, this is a high-quality tool that delivers beautiful, effortless waves. Definitely recommend!
