Watery And Runny | Smells Weird
The leave in conditioner didn’t do much for my hair; it definitely smells like mint. However, it’s not a nice scent. Honestly, the leave in conditioner felt sticky and didn’t help style my hair. The only thing I liked is the size. The amount of conditioner is worth it. On the other hand, the quality isn’t great. The conditioner is runny [see pic] and watery. Overall, I can’t recommend. The smell is weird good; it’s not a nice mint smell at all. The design makes this easy to use. The design and quantity are the only positive things.

I love the continuous mist design of this bottle which makes it much easier to get good coverage on my mid-back length relaxed hair. The trigger also has a lock for safe storage/travel.The babassu mint scent is herbal and a bit earthy, and might not be everyone’s cup of tea. Ironically, it smells a bit like a fancy tea to me. In any case, the scent doesn’t linger after styling. The texture is creamy but lightweight.I was initially unimpressed by the effects on my hair after applying as it didn’t feel super rich or moisturizing, but decided not to add anything else so I could at least give it a fair shot. After heat drying, I felt much better about how well it worked.My hair was soft and manageable, which made it easy to work with. I also felt like I had less shedding from my blow dryer/brush than usual, like it added some moisture/strength to support damaged strands. It didn’t leave any feeling of film or residue, or weigh down my hair.

Mielle Organics Babassu & Mint Damage Repair Leave-In Conditioner is a lightweight conditioner that can help care for your damaged hair. The plastic bottle holds 6.7 fluid ounces of spray that is dispensed in a continuous sprayer bottle. I appreciate that the manufacturer thoughtfully included a lock at the top of the dispenser to help prevent an accidental spray of the product from a child or elderly family member. The manufacturer instructions state to spray evenly moving from the root to the ends of your hair, gently distribute through your hair with your fingers first and then use a wide tooth comb. The moisturizing spray felt lightweight in my hair and had a fragrance with distinct peppermint scent notes but also had an underlying fragrance that reminded me of my Mom’s hairspray from the 80’s. When my hair was air dried, the fragrance was present but not strong. My hair felt noticeably softer to the touch and after several days of use, I feel that my hair feels healthier overall. It makes sense since the conditioner is made with moisturizing ingredients like aloe barbadensis leaf juice, peppermint oil, and babassu oil amongst other ingredients. The only detail that I was not a fan of was the continuous spray. The bottle that I received seemed to have some issues. It would start with a small continuous spray and stop but then when I would notice I needed a little more spray, the continuous spray would get stuck and I would not be able to stop the spray. No matter how light a touch I would have with the dispenser, it would get locked while spraying and I couldn’t stop it. I wish the bottle just had a simple pump dispenser which is easier to control. It is free of silicones, parabens, paraffins, mineral oil, sulfates (SLS/SLES), DEA, and Phthalates. Overall, this product performed as advertised and made a noticeable improvement to my hair.
